Learn basic concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication, division etc., poems and stories, compare length and weight of more objects, plants, weather, solids and liquids.
LearnAhead 1st grade program is meant for 5+ to 6 years age group children. This class
builds on the reading, writing, speaking, and listing skills for students. Students will
practice retelling stories, answering questions about stories, and describing the major
events within a story.
The students will demonstrate an understanding of words that are spoke, syllables within a
word, and sounds. Students will be able to read grade-level material well enough to
understand the meaning.
They will progress to become beginner readers and writers with greater comprehension and
ability
Teachers will introduce the concrete building blocks of math, which include problem-solving,
operations, and number sense.
The key features of the curriculum:
They will learn to create and solve story problems involving addition and subtraction. They will also learn to tell time using analog clock, count money, recognize shapes and know how many sides they have, count and group objects in ones and tens, compare length and weight of more objects, plants, weather, solids and liquids.
